It’s Pioneers Week! It’s a time to look back to that first meeting on November 2, 1911 where Telephone Pioneers of America was founded. It’s a time to honor Pioneers past and present who have made a positive difference in our communities. We have a proud history of volunteerism that is over 100 years old! Read about some of the highlights of that history here: Pioneers History.
This week is also a time to look ahead to the future and many more years of fellowship and service to our communities. Right now there are Pioneers making Hug-A-Bears, putting together care packages for military members, collecting backpacks for school children, and hosting blood drives. You can read about some of the wonderful projects taking place across the US and Canada here: Hero Stories.
Most important of all, it’s a time to turn to our fellow Pioneers and say “Thank-you for all you do. You truly make this world a better place!”
